Pre and Post Partum exercise classes

Come and train with a group of moms or moms to be! This is a great way to learn from other expecting moms by sharing experiences and tips. All this, while working out. Our group sessions are planned to be suitable for ladies in all trimester,. No need to stop coming after the baby is born, bring your baby with for some mommy and me classes that will help speed up your recovery.
Our classes will include:
  • Light cardio to help with keeping weight gain during pregnancy under control.
  • Exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor and deep core muscles.
  • Strengthening of the arm muscles as you will be carrying and picking up your child
  • Overall strength and flexibility exercises that can help with faster recovery after delivery. 
  • Exercises to prevent or help with any musculoskeletal aches or pains during or after pregnancy

Benefits of training during and after pregnancy:
  • Training during pregnancy has its risks, BUT it's been scientifically proven that the benefits of exercise during pregnancy outweighs all the possible risks there might be. 
  • Exercise releases feel good hormones, which reduces the feeling of depression and anxiety. 
  • Exercise gives you a feeling of accomplishment and self confidence. 
  • Exercise reduces the chances of diabetes and hypertension during pregnancy. 
  • It's normal to gain weight during pregnancy, but exercise is
    a way of keeping a healthy weight gain
  • It has been shown that when you strengthen muscles such as the
    glutes and pelvic floor, that there is a reduction in back pain and pelvic floor dysfunction, something that is common with pregnancy. 
  • It has also been proven that exercise during pregnancy shortens the time of labour and speeds up recovery following birth.
Classes will be on Tuesday mornings @ 08:00
